Tech Tuesdays #1 - Global Droid 2, NYC Gets Sprint 4G, Xbox Live Mandatory Update, and more
Today's Tuesday, that means tech update YouTube video. To start out I cover how nearly half of all IT will keep XP on their companies computers after 2014. The 3G Kindle is helping Chinese people bypass the great firewall of China in the grey market. How Sprint added the 61st city to their 4G network, New York City. iOS 4.2 is now available for all of the latest mobile Apple gadgets. T-Mobile is making a 200MB $10 cheap smartphone data plan. T-Mobile is offering a $15 tethering add on for your $30 unlimited plan. Target is going to start selling iPhones. A Droid 2 Global was released with a quad band antenna, the plain Droid 2 and Incredible's price dropped to $150. There was an Xbox Live Mandatory update bringing new features to your Xbox. Roku launched a UI redesign with v2.8 of their firmware. VLC for the iOS may be kicked out of the app store because it violates Apple's terms of use by using the GPL. Apple sues Motorola back with 6 multitouch patents. Steve Jobs doesn't plan on adopting USB 3.0 on Macs anytime soon. And finally Mount Everest gets a 3G internet connection.
